Rachel Weisz Responds to Criticism

Rachel Weisz had made some comments this week which sparked a "criticism blitz" by the media. Weisz was quoted as saying that is OK to drink alcohol while pregnant.

Rachel’s representative had released a statement yesterday confirming Rachel’s comments and adding "She was speaking only about herself and what her doctor said was okay for her.", "She wasn’t speaking as an expert. She believes everyone should consult their own physician to see what is right for them."

I must add that we did have a commenter saying that there is nothing wrong in having a glass of wine here and there during the pregnancy, the general belief is different between the US and the UK. While US physicians suggest a full abstinence from alcohol the entire pregnancy, UK physicians allow one or two small glasses of wine or single measures of a spirit once or twice a week.
